Leicester City Councils recycling rates have fallen yet again in a League table compiled by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for the year 2020/21. Leicester is now ranked 245th out of 338 councils with 35.7% of items sent for Reuse, Recycling or Composting.
To think when the orange bag scheme was rolled out across the city in October 2011 the target was to move from 40% to 48%.
Below are the latest League tables and the fanfare for the orange bags in 2011.
