Students Congratulate New Councillors

The Liberal Democrat Youth and Student Party congratulated Liberal Democrat candidates on winning council seats - with special mention of Councillor Parmjit Singh Gill, who won the Labour safe seat of Leicester South. LDYS members assisted with front line campaigning and said that they were very impressed with all Councillors, especially Parmjit Singh Gill - who they felt truly cared about the area and would be a great advantage to the Local Council.
LDYS Chair Chris Lomax said that - "These really are brilliant results for our party. It gives further confirmation to what we already knew, that people up and down the country now see the Liberal Democrats as the only credible alternative to this failing Labour government."
